Sensei Shalom was born in 1967 and has practiced martial arts since the age of 6. He has succeeded in obtaining the level of Grand Master in the traditional Okinawa Goju Ryu method. He has also developed the GoJujitsu method which combines the refined form of Traditional Okinawa Goju Ryu with the open style of Jujitsu.
Dror spent his army service in a special top unit in the Israel Defense Forces under the direct command of major general Uzi Dayan. While serving as a head instructor, Dror received much praise and acclaim from senior officers and division commanders regarding his skills as a trainer and practitioner of Krav Maga. Sensei Shalom continues to consult with the IDF and special units of the military and police forces.
Following his army service, Dror continued his studies in Japan in the traditional Okinawa Goju Ryu method at Ryushinkan College in Tokyo, Japan where he achieved the level of Dan 6. After finishing his 5 years of studies, he was awarded the title of Doctor of Body Art (Open Hand Method) in theoretical and practical applications of Goju Ryu.
Dror received numerous certifications and international degrees over the years, and has been recognized as a Sports Director by the IDF and the Ministry of Education in Israel. Today, Dror continues to train instructors in Krav Maga for the IDF. He also continues to develop new and innovative projects for schools, businesses and dojos, incorporating his passion of martial arts and self-defense.
